I know it shouldn't but it does. If you open an image from the system, the folder is locked until I close photoshop. Nothing is open in photoshop and the folder is still locked. When I close photoshop I can rename the folder or the files it contains. I'm using CS6 but if I remember correctly I had the same problem with the previous version.
