According to Adobe’s Supported Cameras list, you need at least ACR 8.3 to work with D610 images. ACR 8.3 is only compatible with Elements 12, Photoshop CS6, PS CC 14 and PS CC 2014, in other words, the currently shipping versions of Elements and Photoshop.
