Re: converting a word document to pdf loses bevel effect

I tried a second time and the file showed up and downloaded. I did find some issues that you need to be careful with. You should set the printer to the Adobe PDF printer in the printer window of WORD before editing. WORD reflows documents based on the printer. The result was the last line of your near to last table went to the top of the next page and was getting covered up by the "header", though you did not use headers. You might want to consider using headers and such in the WORD file to make things easier to control overall. Also, using the rtn key to go to the next page is one of the biggest problems related to the reflow issue. Use ctrl-Enter (or the equivalent on a MAC) to control your pages.

From what I could tell (using Acrobat 9.5.5) was no difference in the view with WORD, Print, and PDFMaker. I did not try the MS option. I may need to try AA XI on a different machine to be closer to what you are probably using. There are differences with various versions. I also need to try the Std job settings. I used settings from IEEE for online publication and there is a chance there is a difference. You might try the Press or Print job settings to see if you get a difference. I will try to get back to you tonight (I hope). If not, send me a PM to remind me.

My Result:

which I understand it the kind of issue you are having. You might post the PDF you are getting also so the difference can be seen.

I slipped up asking what version of Acrobat and WORD you are using on the OS you are running.
