It appears that I have to back to the root level of the file structure and repair permissions before I can save the file in it’s current folder. I wonder if I have to repair permissions on the sub-folders as well. One thing I can do before I transfer the files, is make sure that they are unlocked first. Another thought I had was to make sure I have enabled file sharing on my laptop. I know I have my desktop drives sharing on my home network.
