All you should have had to done was open the trial and enter your S/N. At this point you may want to uninstall and use Acrobat Cleaner (if there is one for the MAC). Then be sure all parts of the Acrobat folder are gone and reboot. Then log in as the administrator (not sure on a MAC) and disable anti-virus before the install.
